Top 5 Dancehall Songs Dominating Jamaica in July 2026
Dancehall remained the dominant force on Jamaica’s YouTube music charts throughout July 2026. Skippa, Bad Gyal Jade and Malie Donn led a highly competitive month, with every song in the Top 5 making a major impact across the island.
The latest rankings reflect a month driven by lyrical rivalries, viral moments and strong streaming numbers. As a result, several of dancehall’s biggest names continued to battle for chart supremacy.
Skippa Climbs To No. 1
Skippa claimed the No. 1 position with “Detox,” which earned 1.13 million YouTube views during the July tracking period.
The record ended Malie Donn’s four-week run at the top and quickly became one of the biggest dancehall songs in Jamaica. Produced by Don Money Records, Rich Together Ent and 1DarkMan, the single also intensified Skippa’s ongoing lyrical rivalry with Malie Donn.
Meanwhile, Skippa secured another Top 5 placement with “Glocks and Chips.” That achievement gave him two songs among Jamaica’s five biggest records for the month.
Bad Gyal Jade Continues Her Rise
Bad Gyal Jade delivered one of the strongest months of any female dancehall artist in 2026.
Her hit “Talk Truth” finished at No. 2 with 935,000 views, while “1 Don” landed at No. 5 with 802,000 views.
As a result, she became the only female dancehall artist to hold two positions inside Jamaica’s Top 5 during the July chart period. Both songs also benefited from strong social media support and heavy local streaming.
Malie Donn Holds His Ground
Although Skippa moved into first place, Malie Donn remained one of Jamaica’s biggest artists.
His collaboration with Atto, “Van Cleef,” finished at No. 4 after collecting 819,000 views. Before July, the song spent four consecutive weeks at No. 1 and became one of the year’s defining dancehall releases.
Furthermore, its success helped spark one of dancehall’s biggest lyrical rivalries, inspiring Skippa to release multiple response tracks throughout the month.
